My personal experience and recommendations with internet/affiliate marketingPeople always ask me how do I make money. I am very fortunate to have discovered a way to earn money over the internet which enables me to be a full time mom. At first, when I discovered internet marketing and started making real money doing it I was very excited. I wanted to share all my new knowledge with friends who were struggling to make ends meet. For me, my newfound internet business seemed very simple and straight forward. I tried to explain to my friends and even took them by the hand, step by step to show them what I do so they can do it too. What I discovered is that not everyone "gets" it. Even people who are very internet and computer savvy don't necessarily get the internet marketing and business part of it. I realized that we all really do see the world in a different way and things that I understand easily are not necessarily things that others will understand easily and visa-versa. I know that there is a lot of hype all over the internet with "proof" at how easy it is to make money. I believe that most of those people who are making those claims are speaking the truth. It is also true that for them the process might have been easy, however, as I've discovered we all don't see and understand things the same way. So now when someone asks me to help them make money on the internet I am a lot more cautious with my excitement and at "how easy it is". I often brainstorm with them to try and understand what they like doing and help them find a niche that might work. My advice to you as someone who is either trying to raise funds for an organization or for yourself , is to not give up quickly. There are many business opportunities on the internet and most of them are for real. You have to spend time and maybe a little money to find what works for you. What I'd like to do on this page in recommend (or not recommend) different resources and try to explain the different ways to make money online. Online money making opportunities: Affiliate marketing: What is it? Affiliate marketing is one of the first ways I made money. What I love about it is that you have no customers, no product and no hassle. If you know what you are doing it is "easy" to set up links on various sites and search engines and then sit and wait for the checks to come pouring in. can it really be that simple? yes and no.... Again, for me it seemed to be that simple. I can easily claim that all I do is work one hour a day and earn thousands of dollars a month. It certainly feels like that. but the truth is that I spend much more than an hour and so does any internet marketer. But we have a passion for the subject so often we don't count the countless hours many of us spend in various forums learning more techniques, ideas and search engine optimization. That is an important part of the "work" but it seems like chatting with old friends. If you are going to choose one of these methods count on spending many hours learning and understanding how it is done. The internet is still very young and new ideas pop up all the time. It is important to always be in the know as to what is going on...
Recommended e-books about affiliate marketing that I have read and that offer good advice;
Free Affiliate Course E-book: 'Super Affiliate Handbook' Rosalind Gardner explains how she earns hundreds of thousands of dollars a year on the internet using affiliate marketing. I read this book and found it insightful and interesting. Many of the techniques I already knew. If you are just starting out in the business I would highly recommend this book as inspiration. She makes her money in the online dating business but the techniques can be applied to any other business. google cash Chris Carpenter exposes a very well kept secret that easily made money for many of us marketers for years. Just recently, however, Google changed something on their adword program that makes this system less lucrative. The only part really that gets affected by Google's new rules is the fact that using this system you don't actually need a website. This is still true but not as easy. The system is still very good and very informative. I highly recommend this book to get a sense of how to use pay-per-click search engines like Google and overture to make money as an affiliate (whether you actually have a site or not). Affiliate Money Tree - also read this book and would NOT recommend it. I think that the two above are much more informative. I felt ripped off by this book... Associate program Forum a very good forum for affiliate marketing. I would also recommend to check out the proper site and sign up for the newsletter. The newsletter used to be more frequent and best one. Allan Gardyne really was one of the first people to have a newsletter on affiliate marketing and had the best one. Since then he's had some medical issues and writes a letter only now and then. But it is still worth it. Make Your Site Sell" (MYSS) This is a system that explains how to build a site that will earn money. this was one of the first e-books that I bought. I highly recommend it. The author Ken Evoy explains in detail each step. He likes to talk and explain things in detail. About making money with eBay: Before I discovered internet marketing my husband and I were running a very successful eBay business. Many people earn a spectacular income with eBay. There are many different ways to earn money with eBay. We would by things at the thrift store and resale it. but that involved knowing what people collect and how much they would pay for something. There are many people that buy wholesale items on wholesale sites and resale them. others don't ever own the product but just advertise them and have a drop shipping company sent out the item to the customer. Many people even buy the items on eBay and then turn around and resale it for a profit. EBay is a great company to work with. They are constantly updating their services and making it easier to earn money. I loved doing it... Free eBay Selling Guide! this is a great resorce... The Silent Sales Machine hiding on eBay is a good book. It does review a method that can work. But I would recommend this book to people that are already selling on eBay. It is not your basic how to I do it book. It takes the people who have been selling a step further. The system would not necessarily work for every type of eBay seller either. But, it certainly made me think about other ways to expand my eBay business. I found it informative but only for a seasoned eBay seller. Garage Sale Strategies For EBay(R) Success.
